Our School Day

 
At Oakland Primary School, we provide a structured and balanced school day that supports learning, wellbeing and play. The timetable below outlines the start and finish times for each phase of the day, including breaktimes and lunchtime. We encourage all pupils to arrive promptly so they are ready to begin learning as soon as the school day starts.

Please note: School gates open at 8:40am to allow children time to enter the school calmly and be ready for registration. If your child arrives after registration has closed, they will need to sign in via the school office.

Nursery

Butterflies: 8.45am - 11.45am

Dragonflies: 12.30pm - 3.30pm

Reception

School Starts: 8.50am

Lunch: 12.00pm-1.00pm

End of Day: 3.20pm

Year 1 and 2

School Starts: 8.50am

Morning Break: 11.00am - 11.15am

Lunch: 12.15pm-1.15pm

Afternoon Break: 2.15pm - 2.30pm

End of Day: 3.20pm

Year 3 and 4

School Starts: 8.45am

Morning Break: 10.30am - 10.45am

Lunch: 12.30pm-1.30pm

End of Day: 3.15pm

Year 5 and 6

School Starts: 8.45am

Morning Break: 10.30am - 10.45am

Lunch: 12.30pm-1.30pm

End of Day: 3.15pm

Home Time
We look forward to seeing parents and carers at the end of each school day. To help children finish their day happily and confidently, please ensure that they are collected on time. If you are running late or someone different will be collecting your child, please contact the school office to let us know.
