- Guide to school lunches
We are members of the Ealing Healthy Schools' Project and encourage all children to eat a balanced diet.
We recognise that a balanced and varied diet is essential for maintaining both physical and mental health in children. ISS nutritionists team check every menu to make sure that they offer a variety of different foods to help pupils thrive throughout the school day.

Packed Lunches
If you would prefer for your child to bring a packed lunch from home, please ensure that ISS are aware of this so that you are not incorrectly charged for meals. It is important that packed lunches provide as healthy and balanced lunch as what they would eat at home.
This means plenty of foods that contain the nutrients that children need and fewer foods high in sugar and saturated fat.
School Meal Debt - Only applies to Nursery
Whilst the majority of families keep their school meal account topped up, there are some parents who persistently run up debt on their school meals account. Where these debts are incurred the school is charged, this means that money which should be spent on our children’s education is used to pay for debts accumulated by a minority of parents.
From September 2021 we will have a one week rule which means that you are not allowed to be in debt for school meals by more than £11.75. If you are in debt for more than one week, your child will not be given school meal and you must provide a packed lunch.
In these circumstances, parents will initially be sent a text message advising them of the above.
We would like to remind parents that it is a parent’s responsibility of care to ensure that food is provided for their children at lunchtime, not the schools. Please keep your school meals account topped up.
Payments
Payments can be made once you have registered via your account either using debit/credit cards or calling our catering company (ISS) at their local Ealing Office, 020 3903 0412.
