Covid 19 Remote Learning at Home

 Remote Learning at Home

Remote Learning at Home is provision for children who are unable to come to school.  This may be for a number of reasons, for example because they have been required to self-isolate by Track and Trace or because a member of their family has shown symptoms of Covid-19.  This is also the platform we would use to provide work if a class or bubble of children had to close due to a confirmed case of Coronavirus within the group.

A number of these Learning at Home activities have now been made available on  Microsoft TEAMs.  For some year groups, this includes access to English lessons and Science lessons drawn from the Oak National Academy curriculum.  These units have been carefully chosen to match the learning that is currently going on in school in each year group.  They include recorded ‘live’ teaching and have proven popular with children and families during a successful trial.  There are also a number of lessons from White Rose Maths which link closely to our maths curriculum.

If your child is required to stay home, you will be directed to these activities for them to continue their learning uninterrupted.  In the meantime, you may like to have a look at some of the material so you know what to expect in case you need it in the future.  Please be aware that this learning is not ‘homework’ and children are not required to complete it if they are attending school as normal.  It is also not designed for children who are at home and feeling poorly.
