Trips, Visits and Extra Curricular Opportunities

At Oaklands, we aim to provide a wide range of extra curricular activities.

We feel that children should learn as interactively as possible so that they can relate their experiences to the real world. Each subject area ensures that children have experience of “hands on” practical tasks and there are also trips and visits arranged  that augment our curriculum topics to ensure they come alive.  

In addition, the school provides a wide variety of before and after school clubs that children can choose to participate in to enhance a particular area of the curriculum that they are interested in. Every child that applies will be able to attend at least one club a term. 

Each term we publish a newsletter and children are able to sign up for clubs they would like to attend. 

Clubs are then allocated as fairly as possible.
